Obituary of Demetrius D Reed

The sun rose on the life of Mr. Demetrius D. Reed on July 27, 1978 in Texarkana, Texas when he was born to Louis Strickland and Sandra Reed. Demetrius received most of his formal education in the public school system. One of his proudest achievements was earning his GED through the Work Force Program. Demetrius was the loving and devoted father of one precious son, Amari. "His son was his pride and joy and he was always there for him...such a great father!!" A man of faith, Demetrius was a member of The Potter's House of Denver for the past three years. Every time he attended, he was always faithful during the altar call. He was employed with Kentucky Fried Chicken where he was known for hard work and dependability. In his free time, he enjoyed his son, the Denver Broncos (diehard Broncos fan) times with friends, Devin, Chris and Brian who will miss his joking and clowning. His love, smile and enjoyment of life will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved Demetrius. The sun set on the life of Mr. Demetrius D. Reed on November 15, 2013 when the Lord called him home to eternal rest. Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Amari Reed; mother, Sandra Reed, both of Denver, CO; uncles, Jerri Reed of Aurora, CO and Melvin Reed of Denver, CO; aunt, Gloria Reed of Aurora, CO; cousins, Carreccus (Bobbi), Stacey, Maliki, Taylor, Kaylor, April, Marale , Timothy Daniels, all of Denver, CO, Tameka Swift of New York, Juanita King of KY and Michael Reed of Texarkana, TX; and a host of other relatives and many friends.
