The sun rose on the life of Mrs. Gloria McMichael on March 16, 1951 in Memphis, Tennessee when she was born to Booker T. Howard. Gloria grew up with one brother, Percy. As a child, she was very friendly, motherly and loving. Educated in the public school system, Gloria graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Memphis. Gloria was united in marriage with Michael McMichael. No children were born to this union. The marriage was later dissolved. A woman of faith in God, Gloria was a member of the House of Hope Church in Aurora. By profession, she was a housekeeper, employed with Bayaud Nursing Care Center for nine and a half years in the Housekeeping Department. She was known for her hard work, dedication to her job and likability. In her free time, Gloria enjoyed family, friends and watching movies. Her best friend was Beverly Hill. Her friends will best remember her for her honesty. Gloria's favorite color was purple, favorite flowers were roses and her favorite music was gospel. Expressions that come to mind when we think of her include; motherly, loyal, and a pillar of strength. "She would embrace anyone." Her love, warmth and kindness will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to share a part of her life. To know Gloria was to love her. The sun set on the life of Mrs. Gloria McMichael on January 5, 2014 when the Lord called her home to eternal rest. Those left to cherish her memory include her brother, Percy E. Howard of Denver, CO; and a host of other relatives and friends.
