So many times you got away with everything. We knew we had to be in the house before the street lights came on......I remember dad chased out down the street..... we all got caught except for you... you were hiding in the closet until mom came home from church. May God shower down his peace and comfort to the entire Hancock family during this time. My heart aches for you all, but my bible tells me in Matthew 5:4 "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted" God truly called one of his angels home. I'll never forget his smile, all the times he made me laugh in school, how encouraging he was to me when I joined the track team, or the many times he would lead us in prayer before a meet. And man, he could tell you about Jesus! I am glad that we were able to cross paths. May you forever rest in paradise Pookie.

Michael, my heart aches when I think of your passing, but I am truly comforted to know that you are now with our Lord Jesus Christ....It was truly a blessing to meet and know you.....I remember when you and Toya first started coming to New Life and ii immediately fell in love with the two of you... On sight! And then to top it off....you would "play" the tambourine.... Anointed.....seeing you and Toya worship was so inspiring to me....giving God your all...100% and some! The last time we saw each other at aim this summer you were doing the same thing! I am so happy to say that the last thing I remember Was you kissing my hand and us saying to one another I love you... I enjoyed watching you speak, sing, and dance..... So gifted and anointed....it's amazing what you said.... " We have to understand that we are not our own....we have a purpose to carry out so that God can get the Glory....That's why He gave you a testimony to help others..." I see you have done just that....I will miss you and I'll love you forever.... Until we are reunited ....enjoy God ....praying for my Toya, Shaniece and the rest of the Hancock family.... I am having such a hard time accepting this because we both, and many others believed you would pull through this just like you did before. I think back over everything to see if there were signs of any kind that you were leaving but the only thing that keeps coming to mind is how you praised with such a determination as if there would be no tomorrow. I remember you saying "IVE GOT TO PRAISE HIM" . Maybe that was my sign that something was going on in the heavens that I had no clue about. YOu were the most faithful choir member even when you were sick. I remember you laying on my shoulder during the Convocation because you had worn yourself out. But you came right back the next night ready for more. I have cried until I cant cry any more so now I will do what you taught me and that is to praise him in the most difficult of circumstances and dance like there is no tomorrow......

Psalm 46:1 says, "God is our refuge and strength, a help that is readily found in times of distress." Pray to Him for strength. He will really help you (Isaiah 41:10) because He cares for you (1Peter 5:7). He has given us His son Christ Jesus so that we might have hope in a better future when there will be no more sickness and death. John 11:11, 21-26; Revelation 21:3,4.
