The sun rose on the life of Ms. LaDonna Ruth Summers on February 27, 1960 in Amarillo, Texas when she was born to Charles Taylor and Donna Stribling. The oldest of four children, LaDonna had two brothers, Scottie and Marty and one sister, Sammie. As a child, she was always vibrant, outgoing and friendly. Educated in the public school system, she graduated from South High School in Denver, Colorado. LaDonna was the loving mother of three children, Kedrick, Kerryck and Keandrea. She was a loving and devoted mother. In later years, her grandchildren, DeAndre, Dejae, Dania, Kerryah, Kaiden and step grandchildren, Alijah, Llalonie, Allan and Alxyandra were an additional source of joy and pride in her life. They called her "Granma" and she loved them dearly. Active in her community, LaDonna was an honorary member of Mountain Lodge Temple #173. By profession, she was an in home Health Aid employed with Mercy. She was known for caring, dedication and dependability. She enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends, cooking, dancing and having fun. Her best friends were Trina and Tracy. Her favorite color was red. She loved roses, Old School, R & B and some Rap music. Her love, joy in life and caring will be deeply missed by all who shared a part of this lovely lady's life. To know LaDonna was to love her. The sun set on the life of Ms. LaDonna Ruth Summers on November 19, 2014 when she passed into eternal rest. She is preceded in death by her father and brother, Marty Porter. Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Kedrick (Antoinette) Summers and Kerryck (Antoinette) Summers, both of Denver, CO; daughter, Keandrea Hobley of Westminster, CO; mother, Donna Stribling of Denver, CO; brother, Scottie (Connie) Summers of Seattle, WA; sisters, Sammie Porter and Dorene Moore, both of Denver, CO; ten grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
