Obituary of James Clyde Brown
Please share a memory of James to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
The sun rose on the life of Mr. James Clyde Brown, III on August 21, 1972 in Denver, Colorado when he was born to James and Betty Brown. The eldest of three sons, James had two brothers, Norvin and Stanford and had one sister, Paulesta Hodge-Gilbert. His life was dedicated to Christ at a very early age at Scott United Methodist Church in Denver. Educated in Denver Public Schools, James graduated from Montbello High School in 1990. He later attended Community College of Aurora. James was the proud father of three sons, Jamel Cobb, Demetrius Brown and Jamerr Tyrese Brown. On May 5, 2003, James married Nicole Maldanado. Although James and Nicole's marriage was dissolved, they still remained very close and partnered in raising their son, Jamerr. James was also a loving son and took his role as big brother and protector very seriously to his younger brothers. James was the fun uncle whose niece and nephews enjoyed being in his presence. James worked at King Soopers for many years after graduating high school. James loved his music! If there was one thing that was constant in his life, it was his music. Once a set of drumsticks was placed in his hands for the first time, it was hard to get him to put them down. He was a proud percussionist during his elementary and middle school years. Later, James would become a big fan of jazz and many other types of music. James also loved technology and was quick to discover new ways to navigate many gadgets. He also had the talent of building things. At a young age, he took an interest in making many things including tables and jewelry and was recognized for his talent in 1989 during an art exhibit in Denver. James had an extremely generous spirit. If he had it, and you needed it, it was yours even if he went without. He always enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. The sun set on the life of Mr. James Clyde Brown, III on January 7, 2015 when the Lord called him home to eternal rest. He is preceded in death by his brother, Stanford T. Brown. Those left to cherish his memory include his sons, Jamel Cobb of OH, Demetrius and Jamerr Brown; parents, James and Betty Brown, all of Denver, CO; brother, Norvin Brown of Houston, TX; sister, Paulesta Hodge-Gilbert of Minden, LA; grandmother, Minnie Brown of Princeton, IA; niece, Taja;nephews, Keith and Taylor, all of Minden, LA and Tanyon of VA: and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, many other relatives and friends.
