Obituary of Marshall Fauntleroy

Please share a memory of Marshall to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
The sun rose on the life of Mr. Marshall Fauntleroy on March 29, 1934 in Lenapah, Oklahoma when he was born to Robert Sam Fauntleroy and Stella Fauntleroy. The fourth of six children, Marshall had four brothers, Robert, Joshua, Henderson and George and one sister, Martha. A favorite memory of his childhood was being sent to retrieve his older brother "Baby Boy" from the store when he stayed away too long after his mom sent him. She would say, "If you come back without your brother, you will both get a whipping." Educated in the public school system, he graduated from Leavenworth High School Class of 1954. Marshall proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was stationed overseas. After he completed his active duty, having served with honor and distinction, he was given an honorable discharge from the Army and a grateful nation. A man of faith, Marshall was raised in the Baptist Faith. He was a member of New Covenant Church of God in Christ for the past four years. He was employed as a car salesman. He had previously worked at the Packinghouse Mill. He was known for being outgoing and always outspoken. "No one was ever a stranger to him." In his free time, Marshall enjoyed sharing quality time with family and friends, playing cards and dominoes. "He always kept money on him, always ready to help those he cared about." His best friends were Beasley and Tony. Everyone remembers hearing him say, "Hey bro, what do you know?" "Give me five to stay alive." "I lived the life I love and I love the life I've lived." To know Marshall was to love him and he will be greatly missed. The sun set on the life of Mr. Marshall Fauntleroy on August 10, 2016 when the Lord called him home to eternal rest.
