Willie B. Jordan was born on December 14, 1918 to Coley Banks and Luella [Benson] Jordan in Nuyaka, Oklahoma. He grew up and attended Pleasant Grove School in Nuyaka and spent most of his life there before moving to Okmulgee, Oklahoma. He was united in marriage to Arlea Lunsford on March 12, 1939 and their loving union was blessed with two daughters. Mr. Jordan worked in the construction industry most of his life to provide for his family, but he was an avid farmer. He loved to farm, hunt, play dominoes and he also loved baseball. He was a pticher in his younger years with a small Negro League in the County of Okmulgee, Oklahoma. He loved to watch baseball and would talk about the World Series games with his sister. After 97 wonderful years of life, Willie B. Jordan was "beckoned by the Master to rest in Heaven" on Wednesday evening, October 12, 2016 from Aurora, Colorado. He was greeted in Glory by his wife, Arlea, his parents, three sisters and six brothers. He leaves to cherish his memory; two daughters, Willa Lovett and Claudette Jordan; six grandchildren, Elonda "DDenyse" Lovett Lewis, Howard [Tracy} Lovett, Cynthia "Rena" Lovett, Eric [Karen] Lovett, Lidell [Amy] Lovett and Corey Caddy; fifteen great-grandchildren; twelve great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Opal Hunt; along with a caravan of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
