Obituary of Patricia Courtney Thomas

The sun rose on the life of Ms. Patricia Jo "Jode" Courtney Thomas on January 7, 1956 in Portland, Oregon when she was born to Xcell Walker and Betty Walker. Jode was one of eight children. Her siblings were brothers, Milton, Michael, Bobby and Randy and sisters, Tercida, Linka and Stephanie. Jode was the loving mother of three beautiful daughters, Jeri Thomas, Brenda Ragland and Arnetta Rush. In later years, her grandchildren, Markeda, Jazmine, Cimone, Otha, Clarissa, Jeremiah, Nathaniel and Miles and her great grandchildren were an additional source of joy and pride in Jode's life. They loved her dearly. Jode was employed with Clear Choice in Denver in the position of the Staffing Supervisor. She was known for hard work and dedication to her job. Everyone enjoyed working with her. In her free time, she enjoyed family, friends, bingo and watching "The Young and the Restless" on TV. Her best friends were Damien Tarver, the late Walter Tarver and Sandra Pasma. Her favorite colors were purple and black and her favorite music was R& B, especially music by Charlie Wilson. The sun set on the life of Ms. Patricia Courtney Jo Thomas, "Jode", on October 11, 2016 when she passed into eternal rest. She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Milton and Michael. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Jeri Thomas, Brenda Ragland and Arnetta Rush; siblings, Tercida Gardner, Bobby Walker, Randy Jones, Linka Jones and Stephanie Jones; grandchildren, Markeda Ragland, Jazmine New-man, Cimone Thomas, Otha Banks, Clarissa Thomas, Jeremiah Rush, Nathaniel Wilson and Miles Wilson; aunt, Rosetta Barns; devoted companion, Damien Tarver; 5 great grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
