Obituary of Sharon Paulette Robinson
Please share a memory of Sharon to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
The sun rose on the life of Ms. Sharon Paulette Robinson on November 30, 1931 in Hopkins County, Texas when she was born to Ira Williams and Robbie Clayton. The fourth of seven children, Sharon had three brothers, Elvis, Clarence and Lee Otis and three sisters, Tretha, Rosa Nell and Loretta. As a child, she was a tomboy and loved helping her dad on the farm. Educated in the public school system, she completed her education in Beauty School and earned a license in Cosmetology. Sharon was united in marriage with Delotis Robinson whom she called "a really good guy and she loved him very much". She adopted three children whom she loved as her own, Rocky, Amber and Milagro. Amber remembers, "She was the best mom in the whole world. If it weren't for her I don't know where my brothers and I would be. She was a very strong woman and wouldn't take any crap from anyone. She was very independent!" Her grandchildren, Rocky, II, Kaydynce, Amber, Roman, Christopher and Lola remember "Grandma just always made everything better. If it was wrong, she made it right!" For a number of years, Sharon managed Daddy Bruce's BBQ. She helped everyone she could and tried to feed everyone she could. "If you came in the resturant hungry and had no money she still made sure when you left you were full." In her free time, Sharon enjoyed family, friends, singing gospel music and going to the dog races. Her best friends, May Burnett, Guy and Mary Ann Burrell and Omha loved her for being a loving and caring person you could always lean on. "She was a loving mother and grandmother who did everything in her power to keep her family on the right path; God's path. She always put God first and then her family and then her!" She always lived her belief and taught her family that it is better to give than to receive. Sharon was
deeply loved and will be greatly missed. The sun set on the life of Ms. Sharon Paulette Robinson on December 12, 2016 when she passed into eternal rest. Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Milagro Robinson of Denver, CO and Rocky Robinson of Portland, OR; daughter, Amber D. Robinson of Aurora, CO; seven grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Rest in peace...Ms. Paulette
