When I was a very young girl Mother Carter took Kathleen and I to see some of their Family in Jackson Mississippi. Mother Carter always treated me like family and I appreciate all the Blessings she bestowed upon me.

To the Carter Family; Lift up your heads, O ye gates, even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah. Mother Carter was a very beautiful, kind hearted woman of God. A virtuous woman she had the prettiest smile and has left a great legacy for you all. We will meet again on that great day when Jesus gathers all His children.

Mother Dorothy spent time attending the Clyburn Community Bible Study. For many years she ministered to me with kindness and patience. One Christmas the bible study went to a community gathering at Town Square in Stapleton to pass out invitations to attend the historic churches of N.E. Denver, Union Baptist being one. The weather was very cold that night, and Mother Dorothy bravely and with great friendliness invited people to her church. She has been so supportive of her family, church family and Clyburn community. She will be missed. Katie, I am so sorry, but one day we will see her again. My condolences to the family.
