Obituary of Tamara Renea Shoeboot

The sun rose on the life of Tamara Renea "Joey" Shoeboot on October 10, 1989 in Denver, Colorado when she was born to Clifford Shoeboot, III and Marie Poitra. The second of seven children, "Joey" (as she was affectionately known), grew up with six brothers, Kacey, Kameron, Kievion, Corie, Deion and Jerron and five sisters, Tashara, Taneya, Tiara, Jayla and Leila. Her mother remembers, "She came into this world fighting. She almost died at birth, which is why I called her "Angel". An active child, she was always outdoors, riding bikes and playing pranks." Educated in the public school system, Joey attended Montbello High School and earned her GED at age sixteen. Joey worked at various jobs, mostly within the security and warehouse fields. In her free time, she enjoyed family, friends, listening to music, watching movies and especially spending time with her nieces and nephews. Her best friends, Tashara, Tiara and Kameron will always remember her smile, sense of style, being intelligent and funny, caring and selfless. Her favorite colors were grey and blue. She liked roses and most enjoyed R&B and hip-hop music. "Her most lasting impact on everyone was her determination for us to be a family, be kind to one another and let go of the past." Joey was a very independent individual who loved to rap and was very close to her siblings. Her love, caring and sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to share a part of this unique and special young lady's life. To know Joey was to love her. The sun set on the life of Tamara Renea "Joey" Shoeboot on June 19, 2017 when she passed from this life into eternal rest. Those left to cherish her memory include her father, Clifford Shoeboot, III of Aurora, CO; mother, Marie (Craig) Poitra- Bowens of Aurora, CO; brothers, Kacey Shoeboot, Kameron Poitra, Kievion Stevenson-Poitra, Corie Shoeboot, Deion Shoeboot, Domonic Yarbrough and Jerron Collins; sisters, Tashara Shoeboot, Taneya Shoeboot, Tiara Stevenson-Poitra, Leila Shoeboot and Jayla Collins, all of Aurora, CO; grandparents, Colette Farmer of Englewood, CO and Clifford Shoeboot, Sr. of Aurora, CO; nephews, Andy Shoeboot, Elijah Shoeboot, Blu Shoeboot and Naci Shoeboot; nieces, Errionah Shoeboot and Za'Marah Shoeboot and a host of aunts, uncles, other nieces, other nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
