Obituary of Denise Rachelle Bell

Please share a memory of Denise to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
The sun rose on the life of Ms. Denise Rachelle Bell on June 3, 1957 in Denver, Colorado when she was born to Rueben Bell and Barbara Ellison. The fifth of six children, Denise had four brothers, Wayne, Calvin, Gregory and Rodney and one sister, Debra. A happy child, she was always quiet and smiling. Her mother remembers, "Denise weighed 2 lbs 1 1/2 ounces when she was born. She stayed at University Hospital for four months. My fondest and happiest memory was when we finally took her home. She was a miracle child and lived to be 60." Denise received her formal education in the Denver public school system. She graduated from East High School in Denver. By profession, Denise was a para professional. She was employed with Denver Public Schools for over sixteen years. She was known for being a hard worker and dedicated to her job. In her free time, Denise enjoyed family, friends, shopping, TV, basketball and football. "She was known for her knowledge of sports, especially her Denver Broncos." Her best friends, Barbara Miller, Pearl Whiteman, Diane Godfrey and Jeanette Hurd, loved her beautiful smile and kindness to everyone. Her favorite two expressions were, "Payback's a .....(She always stopped)" and "Leave me be ready." Her favorite color was red, she loved roses and she most enjoyed listening to gospel and pop music. Her mother recalls, "Denise was an extraordinary person. I can honestly say Denise never cause me any pain. She never married, never had children. She would buy me anything she heard me say I wanted. This is the first time Denise has left me. She was my jewel. She always tried to protect, even when she was a teenager. She was my daughter and my friend. I know she loved me because she always told me she did. She took a large piece of my heart. She was kind to her brothers and sister as well." Her love, beautiful smile, kindness and friendly attitude with everyone will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to have shared a part of this lovely lady's life. To know Denise was to love her. The sun set on the life of Ms. Denise Rachelle Bell on June 30, 2017 when she passed into eternal rest. She is preceded in death by her brother, Wayne Stine and sister, Debra Bagby. Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Barbara Ellison; brothers, Rodney Ellison, Calvin Michael Bell and Gregory Bell, all of Denver, CO and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Rest in peace...Denise
