The sun rose on the life of Mr. Calvin Arthur Dickerson on May 25, 1934 in Dinwiddie, Virginia to the proud mother of Ethel Marsh. Calvin was the oldest out of two children, he had a sister name Dora. As a child he was always known as the all around family guy. Educated in the public school system, Calvin graduated from high school and soon after joined the United States Air Force where he served from December 21, 1956 to December 20, 1977. Calvin proudly served his country where his final rank was Master Sgt.
In 1965, Calvin met and married Deloris Smith whom he met in Topeka, Kansas and to this union two children were born Nicole and Koreen. In later years his grandchildren, Alyssa, Warren, Elijah and Ethan loved their "Papa" deeply as he did them. Calvin was a member of Love Christian Fellowship Church in Denver, CO. After Calvin left the Air Force, he begin contracting and teaching for the Air Force until he retired in 2008.
Calvin was a simple all around man who, in his free time, enjoyed family and friends, watching CNN, Fox News, listening to jazz and gospel music. He was the type to help anyone out as well as give you his very last. Calvin loved the Lord, his family and friends. He will truly be missed but his memories will be cherished forever in our hearts.
The sun set on the life of Mr. Calvin Arthur Dickerson on August 1, 2017 when he passed into eternal rest. He is preceded in death by his wife, parents and sister. Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Nicole (Warren) Willis of Denver, CO and Koreen (Scott) Crazybear of Aurora, CO; 4 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
