Dearest Friend Arlee,
While the loss of a loved one is never easy, even when anticipated, it is most certainly the hardest when they are taken from us too soon. Your recent loss of your son who has left us at such a pivotal age is definitely in the category of those hard losses for which there is so painful a reminder of what might have been.
I remember your son, Roland fondly as a person who would always go the extra mile. I will greatly miss his extraordinary spirit he shared entertaining my girls when we came to Denver from Chicago over 50 years ago.
We offer our sincere condolence and deepest sympathy on your loss. May the outpouring of sympathy, the kind acts of friends and strangers and the comfort in knowing that your loss is felt by many, help you through this difficult time.

To the Family and Friends of Roland Arlando Martin
Please allow me to express my condolences for the loss of your dear loved one. The pain and sorrow experienced during this difficult time can be overwhelming. However, I am often comforted by the words found in God’s word, the Bible. For instance, when grieving the loss of his dear friend Lazarus, the Bible reports that “Jesus gave way to tears.” (John 11:35). What is even more comforting is the fact that Jesus resurrected Lazarus from the dead, and so like Mary and Martha, Lazarus’ sisters, the Bible expresses the hope of the resurrection whereby we may see our loved ones again. (Read John 11:38-44; 5:28, 29). What a marvelous hope.
May Jehovah God grant you peace during this time and provide comfort for you and your loved ones.

Roland, stayed one street over from me. I would see him daily on his bike, we speak and sometime talk on the bus. He would always leave me with encouraging words. My words with him, is God bless you. I saw Roland last week, he passed me on his bike and said hello. He will be truly missed. Sending my condolences & prayers to the family. RIH Cookie
