My heartfelt sympathy to the Chambers family. Vern was a wonderful person. He will always hold a special place in my heart. I was fortunate enough to get to know him through a fraction of the time he worked for Brannan Sand & Gravel. Several of us always enjoyed seeing him at the end of the day, he would first grab a piece of candy then come by our desks to flash that smile and ask "how ya doin' today?" Thinking of it, brings a smile. Whenever we said goodnight, he'd follow up with a "God Bless Ya!" He touched a lot of lives through those years.
