Obituary of Robert Jamain Owen

Robert “Rob” Jamain Owen passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at 44 years of age. He died peacefully at home in his bed. His family was the center of his life. He is survived by his 2 children, Kadin Samuel Nicholas Owen and Christopher Elijah Owen, his mother Clarice Owen, and his father, Robert M. Owen. He was the second of five children, survived by his brothers, Michael and Gary, and also by his sisters, Jessica and Clarissa. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews. He was a very sweet child, but like many other boys, into everything he could get his hands on. In school, he was an excellent student, receiving good grades, and helping his teachers. He attended George Washington High School, and continued his education at Concorde University where he received his Medical Assistant Diploma. He lead Military Admissions as an Advisor at E.C.P.I.’s Denver office for 6 years. Rob is remembered for always guiding his family through hardship and celebration. He was very close with his baby sister, Rissa, and was the best brother to Michael. Jessica and Rob would always talk about shoes together, and Rob was working recently to reconnect with Gary. His cousin Pam would always refer to Rob as her “Holiday Cousin”. He loved spending time with his friends, his partner, Anna, and his family whenever he had the chance. Shortly before his passing, Aaron, Rob’s best friend shared a very special conversation that left Rob knowing that Anna and the boys would be taken care of no matter what. He loved football, good restaurants, music, making people laugh, napping, watching CNN and playing Zelda. Everyone agrees he was always dressed meticulously. His children would say he was the best dad in the world, always kind, gentle, loving, and a wonderful cook.
