Dad I’m really struggling right now. I know that you are in a far better place and you’re no longer suffering but the pain of losing you feels unbearable. I miss you so much and I feel like part of me also died on March 1, 2021. I miss you coming over to the house for dinner or to hang out and being able to call you just because I need a good laugh. Without you here I’ve lost my protector, my friend, my DAD. I’ve lost a major part of me. I’m trying to take it day by day but being left with only memories, knowing that we’ll never be able to create anymore hurts more than anything I’ve ever felt before. I still needed you here with me. Life will go on and I pray that one day this gets easier but today I’m devastated, I feel lost and I’m not the same Robb anymore. I love you dad and I hope that as you watch down over me you’ll continue to protect me as you’ve always done. I hope that I can continue to make you proud and I hope that you know how proud I am to be your daughter. The best parts of me are a reflection of you! I love you dad. You’re forever in my heart and always on my mind. I miss you so much and I hope that you are resting peacefully.

I met Brent when he and my sister Sharon were dating. He would always drive up in his red Corolla SR5 with the biggest smile on his face. I remember when the three of us would go fishing and crabbing. We had a great time and never came home empty handed. Brent was a true friend. If you ever needed him, if there was ANY way possible, he would be right there for you with that same big smile. He was also an amazing dad. He loved his Girls with all of his heart. It has been over 30 years since we have been in contact, but when I saw the beautiful photo montage from his memorial, it brought back so many memories, especially that infectious smile. You made an impact on all who were lucky to have known you and your memory will live on forever. Rest In Power Brent.

Dad without you here everything seems so incomplete. I feel an emptiness that I’ve never felt before and my heart feels so empty right now. Although you’ve been gone for a short while nothing is or will ever be the same! I’m going to miss our talks, listening to Tupac, road trips, hanging out on weekends and listening to all of your funny stories. I know you had to leave us because God needed you more that we did but I want you to know I’ll think about and miss you daily. They say a girls’ first love is her father and you were mine!! Thank you for showing me what a good man is and what a good man looks like. Thank you for loving and protecting us. Thank you for being a father figure to my son and the perfect grandfather for my daughter. Words cannot express how much you mean to me and my kids or the impact you’ve had on our lives.
