I am so saddened by the loss of your Mom, and one who I am so proud to call Friend. Her gracious, kind, unselfish and loving spirit will never leave my heart and soul. I Hope that you find comfort in the fact that you will FOREVER keep her in your heart, and she will live in your children and their children’s children. For Ann, like gold will never lose her value.
She once told me something that has been a powerful negotiating tool for me in life in general, and I have carried it with me for 30 plus years, she said, “Doris it’s more important how people feel when they are around you than it is how you feel when you are around them.”
I know that there can be many sad and sorrowful thoughts that go through your mind. Yet in order to care that much . . . .you must have loved that much, and with good reason(s) since good often begets good. There will be many days when the tears are so wet, they could flood your soul, yet they never leave your eyes.
Eventually you will begin to remember those warm or funny times that created the love you have for your Mom” more than the pain of your loss. I hope those times begin to be more frequent day by day. As times go on . . . . .may laughter replace the tears. We seldom forget to remember . . . but remember to forget the bad times and only remember the beauty of her smile which brightened even the cloudiest of days and the joy of her laughter that could fill any a room.
