I remember Augustine, my first cousin, being as cool as anyone I've known. Unhurried, she was seldom, if ever, late. Augustine seemed to welcome situations that might aggravate many people. They were opportunities to her. To her unexpected situations seemed like every-day occurrences. Her husband, Alfred, was the same. They took pleasure in going "out of the way" for others. Two specific incidents come to mind. As an unexpected guest in their home, Augustine arranged an evening out with me at a concert at the Denver Zoo. If one did not know it, one would have thought she ran the place. Alfred left a task at home one time to take me to catch a train. We stopped to see a relative he did not know. I came close to missing my train because Alfred became so involved with his newfound friends.
I'll always remember my cousin and all her family as caring human beings who could make difficult situations seem commonplace. Augustine was LOVE. Her family, husband and children all reflected that unfailing love for life.
"I did not see you often Augustine after we were grown, but you're still in my heart.
Remembering you will help us forget the challenge of 2013, and remember the joys of being with you--even now."

John 14.1-6 Jesus said to his disciples: 'Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house there are many dwelling places. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, so that where I am, there you may be also. And you know the way to the place where I am going.' Thomas said to him, 'Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?' Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. To the Hardy Family; We are sending Prayers in the name of Jesus for you. God will take care of you. Love you much. Your cousins, Herbert & Bessie Johnson, and Mildred McGhee & Family. To Teen's immediate family, we, close members of our wide-spread extended family share your grief. We wish we could be with you in person during this time. Please know, however, that we'll be there in spirit. Where else would we be during this celebration of a special life? We'll be praying with you during the service, and remembering that "She is not dead, She's just gone home".

Time is the only comforter for the loss of a mother. -Jane Welsh Carlyle We extend our most heart felt empathy at the news of Augustine's passing. Our sincerest wish is that you all have the confidence and peace that she is in God's bosom, and she is singing hand-in-hand with those love ones gone before. We know no words can console the pain you're now feeling, but we hope God's comfort will ease the pain in your soul and make you ever hopeful for the future. She will be missed by many.
