My heart broken when I heard the passing of Mrs. Dorothy Germany, she was the most caring and loving lady. I had the pleasure of taking care of her as her Hospice CNA. I would spend time with her, I would paint her nails after showers she didn't like that haha. God bless her family my heart breaks for each of you guys. she is now your guardian angel resting in paradise!!!!! Mrs.Dorothy you will be missed my sweet lady.

She was a quiet determined and purposeful worker in the kingdom. She is unique her laughter and kindness will forever be a part of my memory and thereby my life. Though Ma Germany only birthed 10 children, she was "mama" to countless children, and people in general, due to her humble heart and love for people. Growing up in the Germany household in the 1960's, if you didn't "claim" your chair at the dinner table or your bed, chances were your place, her born child or not, was taken by one of the many kids and people mom so warmly and genuinely welcomed into her home. The word "NO" was hard for her to say because she always saw the "need" in people and did her best to supply that need. Whether it was a meal or a place to sleep at night or a few dollars she'd slip you, when Daddy wasn't looking, mom was "there" for everyone. As a child I loved the story of Old Mother Hubbard, and as I grew up, looking back in retrospect, we who knew her best lived with the woman who had so many children she KNEW what to do. She always practiced what she preached. She called on the name of Jesus and taught everyone she knew to do the same. Call on Him in the good times, clall on Him in the bad times, call on Him ALL the time. That's what "mothers's of God" do. If you don't know, you had better be asking some body about the woman we called Ma Germany.
