The sun rose on the life of Mr. William Earl Harris on September 28, 1950 in Greenville, Mississippi when he was born to Elisha and Martha Harris. The fourth of eight children, William had two brothers, Elisha Jr. and Robert and five sisters, Jessie, Mabel, Floris, Denise and Brenda. As a child, he was playful and always enjoyed sharing. Educated in the public school system, William graduated from Kettering High School. William was the loving father of two sons, Rudell and William. Additionally he was blessed with four grandchildren; Jaylen, Juwan, Jewell and Joel. "Knowing he had grandchildren made him happy." A man of faith, William was a member of Christ Temple Apostolic Faith. He enjoyed playing cards, cooking, watching western movies and sharing quality time with family and friends. His best friends were Ben and Major. He really loved barbequing at family outings. A man with a strong sense of humor, some of his favorite expressions were, "Merry Christmas" and "I live for revenge". His favorite color was red and he most enjoyed listening to oldies but goodies music. A very kind hearted man, William liked to joke with others saying, "I want my care package." His love, kindness and sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who shared a part of William's life. To know him was to love him. "To my son: It broke my heart to see you go. You didn't go alone, a part of me went with you when the Lord took you home. Love, your Mother.
